Our History
1980
When it All Started
Founder Charles Amash recognized the need by both small and large businesses to have quality merchandise at reasonable prices. This idea led to the creation of a company that could provide the necessary services and meet the merchandise demands of customers.
Over the Years
In the forty-one years since its inception, GRIP has grown into a Top 10 regional supplier of tools and general merchandise in the Midwest, and a popular supplier across the U.S., Canada, and other Western countries. Charles and his two sons, Elias and Jason, have continued to build their company on lasting relationships, putting the customer first, and using strategic insight and planning.
Facility Fit for Service
Located on 40 acres just south of Grand Rapids, GRIP possesses a 200,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility that holds enough inventory to fill customer orders promptly. Our product showroom even showcases ideas on how our clients can best display products in their stores.

GRIP now features product lines that offer over 1,500 items and continue to grow! Our items range from hand tools to household items, automotive, air tools, general merchandise, and many more categories.
